Small steps.

Have you ever heard of buddy line? It’s a very special system in university, only local uni I suppose. When you first enter uni as a first year student, your second year seniors will get to pick the ones they like to be their buddy. And when it’s your turn, you get to pick your own buddy! And the list goes on and on, forming a buddy line from the first year until the final year. Buddies are people who will help you throughout your whole university life, be it in your studies or any problems in life. What’s so special about it is that buddy relationship will never end. Even until you graduate and come out and work, your buddies will still be your buddies. Nothing can change that.

To be honest, when I first heard about this whole buddy line thing, I thought, “What lame thing is this? I don’t have time in uni for all this nonsense.” That was me, that was everyone before they enter uni.

University literally flip my world upside down. Just three weeks here, and my point of view has totally changed. Buddy line is really meaningful, and I treasure it. Maybe it’s a sad thing for me. I know deeply how much I treasure my relationship with other people. One day, like it or not, we will have to say goodbye. Taking along everything we’ve been through, reminiscing the good old days. Although my buddies and I are not really close yet, I really treasure them like how I treasure my family. If anyone of you happen to see this, just know that you are important to me.

I thank God for giving me my buddies. I thank God for giving me people who will strengthen my faith along this long long road. I thank God for giving me people who really take good care of me. I thank God for arranging everything so nicely for me. I thank God for sending people to inspire me.

Little baby steps.

One step at a time.

1.30 am in the morning. Just managed to finish my concept map for PBL. Phew. Am supposed to go sleep now but still, can’t resist the urge to write something here. *always my favourite thing to do* >< A week has past and I can say a medical student’s life is really hard. Maybe I’m still blur and I’ve forgotten most of the things I’ve studied in SPM and Matric..but so far, I’m completely lost in lectures. LOL. I’ll pick up soon, no worries. God is great. 🙂

Being a university student is really different. It’s time to fall and to get up, to fail and to try again, to do things you never did before, to live  your life to the fullest, to build a strong foundation in Christ, to know yourself in and out.

No one likes to change. But the only thing that never changes, apart from God, is change itself.

Just change, no big deal.

Pray for me! I have a year’s time! 🙂

Go home.

Everything has finally come to an end and I’ll be starting class next week. Pray for me! 🙂

After the closing ceremony the year two seniors asked us to have lunch together. Honestly, I really didn’t want to go. Sighs, but I went along at last to avoid any trouble. They are seniors anyway. We went Pavilion and ate at Nando’s. Food was yummy. 🙂 Seniors are nice people but I still feel a barrier between us. Oh well, who cares. I am here because God puts me here to glorify Him, no other reasons.

I’m going home tomorrow morning! Been feeling so happy and excited. *Although home is just 20 minutes away =.= * LOL. And my iPhone 4s is already at home waiting for meeeee! 😀

Yay for God.

Yay for those who are going home! 🙂

I’m coming home, coming home.

Tell the world that I’m coming home.

I want to share a poem written by Pablo Neruda. I never knew this poem until we watched the movie Patch Adams yesterday. *in case you don’t know, I’m now in a Personal and Professional Development Camp for the medical students* It’s really a nice movie!! You must watch if you are studying Medicine. If you are not you should also watch it! There are a lot of meaningful quotes in this movie but this one really touched my heart. It’s not about that kind of ordinary puppy kitten or whatever cheesy unmature kind of love, it’s about what love really is. And if the first thing on your mind is boy-girl relationship, sorry to say but I think you are just too shallow. I hope this will make your day, because it did so to me. And what’s more, it completed my day. 🙂

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz, or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers; thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way than this:
where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that when your eyes close,
I fall asleep.

Hiiiiiiiiii. 🙂

For those who don’t know, I already started my university orientation which is one week long. I’m a UKM student now. 🙂 And I’m still in the middle of orientation. Haha. I was sooooo happy when I found out they have Wifi here. So here I am, sitting in the hall (for like..the whole day..since 5.30am), listening to boring talks..doing cheers sometimes..sleeping..playing phone..etc etc.

My room is fine, the furnitures are all new! Hehe..and as always, hostels’ beds are always so comfortable. I don’t know why. Lol. With a Christian roommate!! Hoorray. Thank you, God.^^

University orientation is really fun! Or should I say..UKM’s no..scratch that, it’s Kolej Tun Syed Nasir’s orientation for batch 2012/2013 is awesome! We have wonderful facilitators. Despite only three hours of sleep everyday, I’m still happy, and sleepy. :p The facilitators really put a lot of effort in planning our programs. The games are so fun and meaningful. For example, with given materials, we have to design a parachute so that an egg will land safely from the fourth floor unhatched; a high heel with an egg on it with only newspaper and someone from the group must wear it and do catwalk; make paper clips float on water; put ten nails on top of one nail, and many more!! 🙂 We have also funny dances and cute cheers. By the way, we will be having a “perang cheers” at UKM Bangi with all the other residences. Pray pray pray! 🙂

Hope everything goes smoothly! Bye! 🙂
